|
Kathmandu
Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport,
Kathmandu. A traditional warm welcome with garlands
by our airport representative. Briefing about
the package in the hotel. |

Kathmandu (Breakfast,
Dinner)
After
breakfast, we begin our half day sight seeing
tour of Kathmandu valley by visiting two very
important religious centers: Pashupatinath
temple for the Hindus, nearby along the banks
of the river Bagmati is the cremation area for
the dead. Boudhanath is possibly the
largest stupa in the world and the center for
Tibetan school of Buddhism. We then drive on
to Bhaktapur the medical cities of devotees
and the best preserved of all the old cities
of Kathmandu Valley.
In the
evening we go by Rickshaw to have a Typical
Nepalese Dinner in Lus Kus Restaurant,
Thamel. We come back by Rickshaw.

Kathmandu - Pokhara
(Breakfast)
After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara through
scenic mountain terrain and upon reaching Pokhara
we relax in our hotel. The evening can be spend
most enjoyably on the bank of the Phewa Lake
which reflects the towering Fishtail Peak in
its water. |

Pokhara (Breakfast)
This
picturesque town set on the laps of Annapurna
mountains is the staging area of all treks
in this region. Today we visit the important
sight seeing areas like Bindebasini temple,
Devins Gorge, Seti Gorge and the market
place. We have rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Boating on Fewa Lake is an optional you can
enjoy.

Pokhara please let us know and we can arrange
a trekking trips according to your schedule
and time.

Pokhara - Kathmandu
(Breakfast)
After breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu
and check-in our hotel. Rest of the day we are
totally free. |

Kathmandu (Breakfast)
Today
we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the
place of the Malla and then the Shah kings of
Nepal. Places of interest here are the Kasthamandap,
a medieval rest said to give Kathmandu its name,
Kumari Temple, abode of the virgin goddess.
From here we visit Swoyambhunath stupa,
on top of the hill overlooking Kathmandu valley.
We then visit Patan famous for its arts
and crafts. Tour highlights are the Shikara-style
Krishna temple, Patan Durbar with the royal
baths, Hiranaya Varna Mahavihar, a Buddhist
monastery. From here we visit the Tibetan cultural
center first founded by the Tibetan refugees
of the late fifties and now an exhibition -
cum - shopping complex of carpets, jewelry and
many interesting souvenirs.
Since
we are free in the afternoon, we can take
some optional tours to the famous cities of
the valley like Dakshinkali temple famous
for animal sacrifices, Budhanilkantha, the
sleeping Vishnu statue, Godavari Botanical
Gardens. Kindly let our tour officer know
your choice.

Kathmandu Departure

We are free today until our departure transfer
to the airport. |

the Himalayan Paradise, a high Himalayan settlement
at an altitude of 2713m is only 20 minutes flight
from Pokhara. Jomsom area is not only the most
popular trekking destination but also the gate
way to Upper Mustang. Please let us know if
you would like to visit this attractive and
even romantic example of high altitude settlement. |
